Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno Extension is recruiting for a Business/Sales Coordinator for its Southern 4-H Learning Center (Center). The Center is a lodging, camp and conferencing facility operated by University of Nevada Reno Extension/4-H Southern Area.
The Business/Sales Coordinator will be responsible for daily business management and sales/recruitment of group participants. The Coordinator will plan, execute, and oversee sales and promotional activities effectively and excel at lead generation, relationship building, and closing deals. The Coordinator will be responsible for all fiscal and business matters including accounts receivables, accounts payables, financial reports, and compliance to policies and procedures. The Coordinator, in collaboration with the Center Manager, will create and implement marketing plans and fundraising strategies as well. This is a full-time Administrative Faculty position that will report to the Southern Area Director of Extension in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Center sits on 72-acres in Alamo Nevada and has a capacity to house up to 72 guests, with day use of more than 200 guests. The Center will predominantly host a variety of day camps, residential camps, trainings, retreats and also hosts other non-profit and governmental organizations. The center is about 1.5 hours from Las Vegas, Nevada.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of related work experience; OR a Master’s degree and one (1) year of related work experience.
Related Experience: Sales, management, fundraising/development, marketing
Certification and Licensure
Valid Nevada Driver’s License or ability to obtain one within one month.
Successful fingerprinting/background check.
Schedule or Travel Requirements
Variable work schedule.
Periodic travel to meetings outside of retreat center setting.
